Annual Shiba Picnic - ピクニック

毎年恒例の柴犬ピクニックへ行って来ました～！

参加するのは今回が2回目。

何十匹もの柴犬と、飼い主さん達と交流が出来るとっても楽しいイベントです。

（主催は南カリフォルニア柴クラブ　http://www.shibaclubofsocal.com/index.html）

We had a pleasure of attending the annual Shiba Inu Picnic 

hosted by the Shiba Club of Southern California! 

It was our 2nd time attending. 

It's an amazing event where we can mingle with dozens of Shibas and their owners. 

類は友を呼ぶ！

やっぱり白柴に興味津々なジェイク。

Jake definitely was curious to meet his new friend - Katsu.

でもなく、やっぱりお互い関知しない主義の柴犬ですね。

Then we realized that "Friend" in a Shiba Inu dictionary is defined as
"Someone you know but don't really care about."

居る間、ほとんどはこうやってクールな一匹狼スタイルで過ごしました。

He is a lone wolf after all..

また来年も行こうね。（苦笑）

Can't wait to go back next year, right?!

The Best SUMMER Day - 7/25 -

『こんなに耳をツンとさせて聞き耳立ててるのは、

7月25日にとっても嬉しいお知らせが入って来たからなんだ。

海を越えたオーストラリアで、人間だったら僕のイトコってのに当たる人間の赤ちゃんが誕生したの！

とっても可愛い女の子なんだ。これで子供苦手も克服できるかも？

犬の僕は会いにいけるか分からないけど、

いつか一緒に鳥の追いかけっこしたいなぁ～』

"I'm so busy trying to collect all information today 

- information about my human cousin that just arrived to the world on July 25th in Australia.

I hear she is a gorgeous baby girl! 

Since we're a plane ride apart, I'm not sure if I could ever visit her... 

But maybe one day she could come play with me!"

わーい！やっとこさでエリザベスカラーを取ることができました～！

Hooray! Good bye E-collar!!

もはや冷たいおしぼりをかぶってボーっとするのが好きみたい。

The Cone Life 2 - その後の後

なかなか取れません。コーン。

Sadly still rocking his cone out.

足の怪我が治り、今度は尻尾に怪我。

少なくともコーンがサンバイザーになってくれて良かったね。

Paw is completely healed. But now on to another issue on his tail :,(

Luckily the e-collar is working as a visor.

The Cone Life - その後

肉球の怪我も大分治ってきました。

大嫌いなエリザベスカラーにも慣れてきたようです。あと少し！

His paw pad is healing fast and he's made peace with the E-collar..

The hard knock cone life is almost over!

Heartbreaker - ハートブレーカー

前足の肉球に怪我をして連日病院へ通っています。

We've been back and forth to the vet for a front paw pad injury.

コーンを付けた姿を見ると、胸が締め付けられる思いです。頑張ろうジェイク！

It breaks our hearts to see him in this big cone.. We'll get though it fast!

Summer Obsession - 新好物

暑いおかげで、スイカがいつもよりとっても美味しく感じられます。

Watermelons are our latest obsession.

体にもとっても良いらしいね！

先日のドックビーチの続きです。

他の犬には興味を示しませんが、やはり柴犬とくると、、、

We met a white Shiba - Eddie! 

Jake couldn't resist to gossip about the latest Shiba rumors with him...

Dog Beach Fun

とーっても暑い週末はドックビーチで涼んで来ました。

We managed to cool down at the dog beach last (scorching) weekend.

ジェイクは、自ら波の方へズンズンと進んで行きました。

Surprisingly, Jake was so eager to play with the water!

お風呂の水は大嫌いだけど、ここは大好きなんだよね。

Not so much at the end of the day in the shower at home...
