Summer Heat - 夏バテ

この頃、ロスアンジェルスは少しずつ夏に向けて暑くなってきました。

夕方涼しくなるまでダラーっとしているジェイクです。

We are enjoying the pre-summer heat in Los Angeles these days.

As for Jake, he sleeps off his laziness till the temperature drops a little in the evening.

まん丸の氷に最近はまっています。

He's been into the sphere ice lately.

たいてい数分後には飽きてしまいますが、、。

Of course, a few minutes with it is enough to get him bored...

Memorial Day Weekend - ３連休

アメリカは３連休でした。

ロスアンジェルス地域の柴犬グループの集会があったので参加してきました。

柴犬以外の犬と触れ合うのが苦手なジェイクなので、このグループの集まりに月１回位で参加して、毎回沢山の柴犬と遊んでもらっています。

今回はどうやらあこがれの先輩を見つけたよう。

We attended a Shiba Inu meetup at "Central Bark" in Irvine (http://www.cityofirvine.org/cityhall/cs/commparks/specialfac/central_bark.asp) hosted by the LA OC Shiba Inu meetup group (www.http://www.meetup.com/LA-OCShibaInu/).

Seems like Jake became someone's "obvious" admirer...

He played very nicely with every dog! 

Troublemaker - 問題児

先日、会社で問題を起こしました、、。

これからは、しっかりと見張っておこうと思います。

紙には、凶暴になる恐れがあるので、僕を触らないで下さい。お店の入り口は建物の前からお願いします。と書いておきました。

He got in a trouble the other day at work. We will have a close watch on him from now on...

I'm back! - ただいま！

10日間程留守をしていました。
空港へお迎えへ来てくれたアイツ。

顔をぴょこっと出して、ターミナルの外で待っていた私をすぐに見つけてくれました。
車に乗ると、しっぽを振ってお得意の『ヲォ～』と言って吠え、私の手をしきりに舐めて、帰りを喜んでくれました。
私にはあまり見せない喜ぶ姿。
帰って来た甲斐あったな。

I was gone for about 10 days.
This little furry guy came to pick me up at the airport.
As I was standing at the curb waiting for my ride, he found me right away and stuck his head out of the window.
He welcomed me back with his signature "wooooo" haul, wiggled his tail and cleaned my hand with lots of kisses.
He rarely shows me this side of him.
Ok, maybe I can give up on my vacation for this one..

Parks - 公園

ジェイクと過ごすようになってから、新しい公園を見つけるととっても嬉しくなるようになりました。

It has become a little joy finding new parks.

こんな些細な事でもすっごく喜んでくれる子がいるからね！

Because someone loves these simple things in life.

Fantasy - 夢

You know Jake well enough by now... There was only one way to satisfy my fantasy of dressing him up...  by paintings!

We are so lucky to know a friend who is an amazing artist. Ms. Karen has done several "fantasy" portraits of Jake.

前から、ジェイクに色んな洋服やコスチュームを着させたら可愛いだろうなぁと思っていたのですが、はっきりと拒否反応を出されました。

そこで、アーティストのお友達にファンタジーワールドのジェイクの絵を描いてもらっています。
いつも、思い通り以上の完成で大満足です。
